Precision Titanium CNC Machining Services

Advanced CNC Machining for Titanium Alloys

Titanium is notoriously difficult to machine. Its low thermal conductivity means heat is directed into the cutting tool rather than the chip, leading to rapid tool wear and potential work hardening. KeyTitan operates a dedicated titanium CNC machining facility, utilizing specialized tooling, optimized feed rates, and high-pressure coolant systems to guarantee precision and efficiency.

Our CNC Capabilities

5-Axis CNC Milling Titanium

  • 5-Axis CNC Milling: Essential for complex aerospace brackets, medical implants, and ergonomic EDC tools. 5-axis machining allows us to reach multiple faces of a part in a single setup, improving accuracy and reducing lead times.
  • Precision CNC Turning: Our multi-axis lathes with live tooling can perform turning, boring, and threading simultaneously. Perfect for custom fasteners, cylindrical housings, and precise shafts.
  • Wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining): For internal splines, sharp internal corners, and ultra-precise cuts that traditional end mills cannot achieve.
  • Tolerances: We consistently hold tolerances of ±0.01mm (±0.0004”) on critical dimensions.

Design for Manufacturability (DFM) & Strict Quality Control

Every CNC project begins with a rigorous DFM analysis. Our engineers review your CAD files to identify features that may unnecessarily drive up machining time or tooling costs. By making minor geometry adjustments—such as standardizing internal radii—we can significantly reduce your unit cost without compromising the part's function.

Surface Finishing

A CNC machined part is not finished until the surface is perfect. We offer in-house surface treatments including:

  • Bead Blasting & Sandblasting (Matte Finish)
  • Vibratory Tumbling / Stonewashing
  • Mechanical Polishing
  • Custom Titanium Anodizing & Laser Engraving
